Khoros Pro 2001 Delivers Cross-Platform Support and Special Discounted Introductory Pricing

Albuquerque, New Mexico, March 5, 2002 Khoral, Inc. today announced powerful new features, expanded platform support and special introductory pricing for the company's flagship software, Khoros Pro 2001^TM. Important new features include support for Microsoft^® Windows^®, and new enhancements to the UNIX and Linux versions of the product to speed collaboration and rapid deployment for application development, data visualization and image processing.

The new version of Khoros Pro 2001 for Windows gives software developers and visual programmers cross-platform collaboration capabilities, JAVA development support, rapid tear away release features, new visualization tools, in addition to colorspace models and interactive look-up tables in newly streamlined and easy-to-install package.

X-Win32 High-Performance Stability

Khoros Pro 2001 for Windows leverages Khoral's focus on high-performance stability and ease of use to optimize the software development, implementation and maintenance process from end-to-end. By integrating X-Win32 with popular Khoros software, Khoral now offers the highest performance for Windows as well as Unix.

Supported Windows versions of Khoros include:

• NT 4.0 Version 6
• Windows 2000
• Windows XP

(Windows 95, 98, Millenium, or NT 3.5 are not supported platforms.)

 

Special Introductory Pricing

Debuting March 31, 2002 with a 30-day introductory offer, Khoros Pro 2001 for Windows and Khoros Pro 2001 Version 3 for UNIX and Linux will be discounted more than 40% off list pricing.

Pricing and Availability

With the robust features of this multi-platform release, Khoral, Inc. introduced new uniform pricing for Microsoft Windows NT, UNIX and Linux. Special introductory pricing between April 1 and May 1, 2002 discounts single user licenses more than 40 percent to $2,500 for Khoros Pro 2001 for Windows and Khoros Pro 2001 Version 3 for UNIX and Linux. For educational customers, the introductory price for any platform is $1,500.

Pricing and Availability

After May 1, 2002, single user licenses will be available for $4,500. Additional discounts include 25% savings for customers purchasing five or more Khoros Pro 2001 licenses, and 50 percent off for academic institutions. Annual software maintenance is priced at $800 per license for commercial customers and $500 per license per year for academic institutions.
