Khoral, Inc. Lowers Khoros Pro Prices
All prices have been lowered,
while academic institutions are offered especially low discounts
Albuquerque, New Mexico, October 1, 2003
Khoral, Inc. today announced new product pricing for Khoros Proä. The new price model
drops prices for Khoros Pro by almost 20% for commercial, government, and research
institutions. The price of a single seat for commercial/government organizations has been
dropped from $4500 to $3700. The price of a seat for small research organizations (less
than 25 people) has dropped from $2250 to $1850.
The prices for academic use have been dropped even more dramatically, from $2250 to $995
for a single seat - a whopping 44% decrease. In addition, a new site license program for
academic institutions has been introduced, intended to allow Khoros Pro to be used in the
classroom for an unprecedented low rate. According to Ed Spivak, Business Development
Director of Khoral, Inc., "We are extremely committed to the universities and other academic
institutions that use Khoros Pro for teaching purposes. We are sensitive to the fact that
academic budgets are limited, and we want to be sure that Khoros Pro is affordable to the
large number of instructors who want to use it in their image processing labs."
The Site license, which requires a three-year contract, includes all updates, patches, and
new releases, as well as support for all UNIX, Linux, and MAC OS X platforms. The Site
license is broken up into three tiers, as follows:
50 user licenses - $3000/year; includes up to 15 home users
100 user licenses - $5000/year; includes up to 30 home users
Unlimited licenses - $9000/year; includes unlimited home users
The Khoros Pro Windows version is currently bundled with third-party software, and is
offered at an additional $200 per seat to those institutions that sign a Site License
ontract.
